Workshop Overview:

We’ll feel our way into sensing softness in body tissue, movement quality, and intentional curiosity. The principle of softness at the beginning allows our touch to feel safe enough to allow movement messages to be heard through our partners’ protective patterns. Softness reflects a body that is alive, adaptable, and ready to move freely without unnecessary tension.

We’ll explore receiving, supporting and releasing weight. Imagine the relief of letting go—the weight of a limb, the weight of a thought, the weight of holding it all together. Letting go physically is the body’s expression of letting go emotionally and mentally, opening a doorway to greater freedom and ease.

And we’ll play in wave motion, both within ourselves and in a partner. Liquid movement evokes a cellular memory of growing our human bodies first in an all-enveloping, nurturing liquid environment in the womb. Rhythmic, wave-like movements are inherently organizing, creating coherence in the body as they travel through tissues.
